Working with employers to Reducing Re-offending – A Practitioners’ Toolkit
This toolkit is a resource for managers and practitioners in the National Offender Management Service, the Prison and Probation Services, Jobcentre Plus, the Youth Justice Board, Youth Offending Teams, the Learning and Skills Council and other partners with a responsibility for connecting the offender learning and skills agenda with finding suitable and sustainable employment and for developing strategies for engaging business in reducing re-offending. Some of the materials may also be suitable for use by employers or employer organisations promoting the Corporate Alliance.
The advice within the toolkit is based on developing practice in Yorkshire and Humberside. It provides guidance on supporting offenders into work, case studies, and materials to promote the agenda to employers, and it will support the implementation of the Next Steps Action Plan.
