National Standards for the Management of Offenders
The National Standards for the Management of Offenders came into force on Sunday 30 September 2007. They bring together the 2006 NOMS Offender Management Standards and those previously used by the National Probation Service.
The Standards have been approved by the Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice. Their purpose is to ensure that all providers of offender management are clear about what NOMS expects, and that offender management is delivered in an integrated, consistent way.
