Strategic Plan for Reducing Re-offending 2008-11: Working in partnership to reduce re-offending and make communities safer
This consultation seeks to identify the government’s strategic approach and help partners deliver our shared targets to reduce re-offending over the next three years. We are providing partners elsewhere in the government, in the regions, and in local communities, with an opportunity to help shape and agree new priorities to reduce re-offending, which will form a key element of the Crime Strategy and help assist with reducing the overall level of crime.
Our consultation period starts on 27 November 2007 and ends on 18 February 2008. We would welcome your views. Responses should be submitted electronically, on the response form below, to reducingreoffending@justice.gsi.gov.uk.
Alongside this document, the government is also publishing consultations on a NOMS Third Sector Action Plan (new window), a faith based consultation 'Believing We Can' (new window) and the Ministry of Justice/Department of Health’s Improving Health, Supporting Justice strategy (new window). The consultations offer the opportunity for partners to have a say, at every level, in how we can best use our shared resources and expertise more efficiently to further reduce re-offending and make communities safer.
This consultation is now closed.
